Hortense de La CodrePostdoctoral Scholar
Hortense De La Codre is currently a postdoctoral scholar at NU-ACCESS. She obtained her PhD in Physics of Archaeomaterials from the Archeosciences Bordeaux laboratory in France in 2023, and her MSc degrees in Analytical Chemistry at Sorbonne University and in Archaeometry at Bordeaux Montaigne University. During her doctoral studies, her research focused on identifying the dyes used in 18th-century tapestries of Aubusson’s Manufacture, employing non-destructive spectroscopic techniques. Furthermore, she developed classification methods for processing hyperspectral imaging data, which allowed for accurate mapping of the identified materials. Her research also focused on investigating the light degradation of these dyed textiles and reconstructing historical dye recipes.
